Haddie Lou Turns Three!

Hadley is, quite simply, the sunshine in our lives.  Most every moment of every day is filled with unfiltered joy, and Hadley's enthusiasm for life is often contagious.  When a person meets Hadley, it doesn't take long for them to comment on just how happy she is.  Her precious giggle, sparkly blue eyes, and 1,000 Watt grin are pretty amazing.

Hadley is incredibly verbal for being just three.  Folks are often surprised when she starts talking.  We think it is the product of being the youngest and having to know how to speak up purely as a survival skill with older siblings around.  Hadley is also very determined...she knows what she wants and is persistent in her efforts to obtain it.  Hadley is loving and in general, so fun to be around.  It is crazy to think that just three years ago the nurse placed our precious baby girl, a tightly wrapped little bundle, in our arms.

We celebrated Hadley's third birthday with a Strawberry Shortcake Pancakes and Pajamas party at the house.  Friends and family came to honor Hadley and share in the day, sporting their PJs and ready to chow on a fun spread of Swedish Pancakes and assorted toppings along with other breakfast fare.  Grandpa and Grandma McKinney, Aunt Sarah, Uncle Jordan, Grandma Carlson, our neighbors, Hayley and Renae, and the Chase kiddos all made the day extra special.

The older kids made Hadley this special "Happy Birthday" banner

In keeping with the theme, the kids each got to decorate a pillowcase:

Time for cake!

The gift theme of the party was definitely skirts with tulle.  Hadley refuses to wear anything but dresses and skirts, so the new wardrobe infusion was much appreciated. :)  She also got some fun new toys.

"Rixable"...a new friend.

Hadley is our family's angel in so many different ways.  Sent to us after a journey filled with such hurt, she is such a healing and happy presence in our home.

Happy 3rd Birthday, Baby Girl!  We love you!
