We were very excited to embark on our first cruise together as a family. Of course, cruising Disney style is nothing short of amazing. Our ship was the "Disney Dream".
The first thing we did when we got on board was to hit the buffet and then go for a quick swim. Soon after that, the crew hosted a super fun Sail Away party. We had a blast!

While at the Sail Away party, we stumbled upon the free ice cream....available 24/7, baby!
Here we go! The kids thought it was so neat to watch the the boat set sail!
The Oceaneer's Club for the kids was very cool. Parents were granted special one time access into the kids' only zone to check out what fun awaited the young ones. It was fun! So cool, in fact, the little ones didn't want to leave!

Meals were very special on the cruise. Our first night found us at Animator's Palate, where the magic of Disney animation surrounded us. The food was delicious and we met our server and server's assistant who would be with us during the entire cruise. We were impressed at their ability to call us by name even on the first night! Crush the Turtle swam around the restaurant via big screen TVs and had conversations with the guests at several tables. Incredible! The Disney ice cream bars were a hit at dessert time, as you can see.
We finished up our first night on board with a Disney music show in the boat's main hall. It was so much fun!
We spent Day 2 exploring all that the boat had to offer. Our port was the Bahamas.
We had a fun day swimming, relaxing, and meeting the Disney characters. The kids spent some time in the Oceaneer's Club while Brandon and I attended a session about the design and function of the boat. It was pretty cool.
And, of course, there was ice cream:

Dinner was at a new restaurant, The Enchanted Garden. It was Pirate Night on the ship. Very fun!
I had to share a picture of Hadley's mac and cheese. She ordered this same dinner every single night. Note the ketchup in the shape of Mickey's head:

Another musical show, a fun deck party and a fireworks show capped off the evening. The majority of our crew opted for bed instead of the deck party because we were so tired. ;) When we went back into our cabin, this fun little guy was hanging out waiting for us.
Day 3 found us at Castaway Cay, Disney's private island. It was a super fun day of sand and sunshine. It was pretty cold when we got off the boat, but as the day went on, things warmed up and we had a great time in the water.

Dinner on the last night on the cruise was a formal event. We ate at The Royal Palace, where the menu included unusual fare like Wild Boar. The kids enjoyed delicious cupcakes for dessert.
This picture pretty much sums up how we felt at the end of our cruise. Tired, sunburned, and blessed. Here are the kids all snuggled in on the last night. I loved the pillow on our bed...."A Dream is A Wish Your Heart Makes, When You're Fast Asleep."
This trip certainly was a dream come true!
